  • About the role

    As a Product Development Engineer for B&D Group in our Automation division, you will design and develop new products, components, manufacturing systems, implement engineering support measures along with improving on the current product range through continuous improvement.

    You will join a stable, innovative team that look to challenge the industry and take pride in their quality of work.

    Responsibilities

  • With a continuous improvement mindset, you will enhance product quality and competitiveness and support manufacturing to gain maximum utility, quality, and safety.
  • Engage in end-to-end product design/development by applying scientific research, engineering expertise, market requirements and industry trends.
  • Projects are managed with a plan and process mindset with an efficient and effective use of project management tools aligned with B&D’s stage gate process.
  • Using your vast skills in 3D CAD software and proficiency in DFM you will develop products which are efficient to manufacture, easy to install, align with our brand promise along with an overarching focus on product quality.

  •   Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Mechanical Engineering, and/or demonstrable experience.
  • Ideally, experience in mechanical design and end-to-end product development
  • Strong technical background in product and process design
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Solidworks CAD systems would be an advantage
