This organisation is a Kindergarten to Year 12 co-educational College in the western suburbs of Sydney.
The College is a ministry of the Baptist Church. Their purpose is to function as a Christian community in supporting families by providing quality education to develop the whole person in a Christ-centred, caring environment for life and eternity.

This is a permanent fulltime (1.0FTE) position comprising Operations 0.8FTE and teaching 0.23FTE
The position is a Position of Responsibility 3 (PoR3)

Current Working With Children Check or an ability to obtain such a check
Evidence of a First Aid credential
Position Description:
Maintain a commitment to a faithful walk with the Lord Jesus Christ
Demonstrate ongoing commitment to the College’s Purpose and Purpose Statements
Set an example to students, staff and parents/carers in matters of faith and conduct
Demonstrate a growing understanding of the place of education, teaching and learning within a Biblical
Perform higher duties in the Primary School when required
Prepare, compile and ensure the annual Primary School calendar is accurate at all times
Manage staff absence processes including the engagement and rostering of casual staff covering Primary classes, LSOs and Library Staff
Prepare and administer the Primary School timetables in close collaboration with the Deputy Principal
Primary and the ICT Operations Manager meeting the technical requirements of Edval and the application thereof by the College
Implement the daily operational, change to routine, and communication systems within the Primary School
Refine and maintain an efficient reporting process to parents/carers that reflects requirements as set by NESA
Administration of the academic assessments (for eg Dibels, ICAS, PAT) across the Primary School
Administration of the Primary student accumulative award system
Support the Primary School with student behaviour management, when required
Collaborate with staff to compile articles for College publications, Community News and the social media profile of the Primary School as required by the Deputy Principal Primary
Administration of set up and permissions in School Management System (Sentral)
Monitor and oversee all risk assessments and requirements or all Primary School excursions, camps, events and activities
Consultation with staff and Work Health and Safety Committee in the identification, elimination and control of workplace hazards
Represent the Primary School on the College WHS Committee and attend the WHS Committee meetings
Perform the duties of the Assembly Point Organiser in the event of an evacuation practice or emergency
Manage and contribute to improvements in the processes and policies in support of the College’s Purpose and Purpose Statements
Administration and set up of new Primary modules in Sentral
Provide training of Primary School staff in using Sentral, where necessary
Where necessary, lead the long-term planning, including new initiatives geared towards operational excellence
Plan and draft the capital and operation budget components of the Primary Budget in collaboration with the Deputy Principal Primary and the Business Manager
Manage budget allocation spending as specified in the Primary Budget and report to relevant staff, as required
Make purchases of suitable resources and oversee the management, distribution, storage and inventory of all resources in the Primary School
Oversee the extra-curricular administration and roll-out of all Chess, sport, performing arts activities and events (eg Dance Troupe, Musical) and academic extra-curricular activities (eg Language classes) and all other Primary School activities as directed by the Deputy Principal Primary
Be present and actively engage with Marketing activities including Open Days and College Tours
Develop a Primary School roll out plan in line with the established College vision and direction in collaboration with the Deputy Principal Primary and the ICT Operations Manager
In collaboration with the Deputy Principal Primary and the ICT Operations Manager and according to negotiated timelines, lead the implementation of Canvas in the Primary School
Train Primary School staff in the functions and capacities of Canvas as they apply to learning
Collaborate, where necessary, with Primary School staff in the creation of courses and provide assistance where necessary
Monitor the implementation of Canvas
