We are seeking

experienced senior RegisteredNurses with a passion to join our Senior Nursing Team as a Duty NurseManager.

In this role you will work autonomously and be responsiblefor the co-ordination and management of patient flow processes for Ashburton Hospital : weekdays, after hours, weekends and Public Holidays.

You willdemonstrate a wide-ranging career expertise and a pragmatic, organised approachwith an obvious passion to multitask and make sound decisions on the go.

Post graduate experience in leadership andmanagement and / or experience in nursing leadership is a definite advantage butall applicants will be considered based on the applicants’ career experience,and desire for a senior leadership position.

This role is at times is both challenging anddemanding, plus at the same time is rewarding and never dull! Therefore, we arelooking for someone who is collaborative by working alongside and inpartnership with the senior nursing team, wider nursing colleagues and externalDHB’s / providers to provide an optimum service delivery for all users.

You will have :

Broad acute clinical experience and excellent collaborative skills that will enable you to communicate effectively across all disciplines and occupational groups.

Extensive nursing experience either clinically or in a relevant senior nursing role.

Expert clinical nursing knowledge with demonstrated leadership ability and sound people management skills.

A solution focused approach to your work with the ability to problem solve and think on your feet.

Acute medical or surgical experience is essential

A NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate
