The Statewide Quality and Patient Safety Service (QPSS):
The QPSS team are based in Launceston and Hobart, however the service performs statewide functions. The QPSS are a small but effective team working to support the Clinical Governance program within the Tasmanian Department of Health, and to work closely with the Tasmanian Health Services.
This position will provide high level administrative support to contribute to the successful positioning of the statewide Quality and Patient Safety Service.
Provide high quality, accountable and measurable healthcare, both internally and externally by ensuring the principles of continuous quality improvement are applied in the delivery of dedicated quality and patient safety support systems.
Promote and ensure a proactive, integrated, innovative approach is undertaken when administering systems, including the active engagement of end-users with improvements.
The Role:
Provide practical and administrative support in the coordination and evaluation of patient safety and quality improvement systems and solutions.
Apply a systems-thinking approach when planning and developing patient safety e-system enhancements, in consultation with staff at all levels of the organisation.
Assist in the production and coordination of data, information and online content across various platforms.
Provide high-level administrative support to the statewide Nursing Director - Quality and Patient Safety by applying effective communication, coordination and collaboration.

Details of Appointment:
Fixed term, full time, day work, position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 12 September 2024.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Base Salary: $65,721 to $71,156 per annum + 10.5% superannuation
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019
