About the Role
The Rare Disease Account Executive is responsible for driving the commercial success of the Rare Disease Portfolio within the defined territory. This will be achieved by identifying, educating and building advocates within the healthcare community to reduce the time to diagnosis of patients suffering from Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSDs), specifically Fabry and Pompe Disease.
Implement sales strategy and promotional activities to meet and exceed sales target.
Strive for continuous improvement in selling capability.
Enhance disease awareness of Fabry and Pompe Disease in targeted healthcare communities at key hospitals.
Develop and execute a business plan to increase index of suspicion and screening of patients
Conduct all sales calls in alignment with the Sanofi selling model.
Execute appropriate strategies / meetings for customer / accounts.
Sell the benefits of Fabrazyme and Myozyme to target customers including treaters, specialists and nurses according to sales and marketing strategies. 
Engage department decision makers, treaters, specialists and allied health staff (nurses, pharmacy and pathology) to drive disease awareness, testing and management of patients with particular focus on Dry Blood Spot testing
Effectively utilise all approved sales support materials, clinical papers and other resources to maximise sales call quality and implement sales strategy.
Deliver effective and relevant presentations for hospital units and accounts.
Provide and gain relevant information to and from all key stakeholders.
Apply knowledge of all promoted products, key competitor products, major clinical trials, and clinical disease states to maximise sales.
Develop new business and maintain existing accounts through regular and valuable contact with target customers in line with sales strategy.
Identify and work with Pompe and Fabry KOLs, both existing and potential, in line with the strategic marketing direction for the product portfolio.
Understand and optimise the complex relationships and protocols impacting the hospital environment.
Regularly maintain all data in One CRM/Veeva
Meet core professional standards as they relate to administration, reporting, company assets and dress code.
Comply with company SOPs, Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and ACCC requirements.
What you will bring:
Demonstrable track record as a Specialist Representative, Hospital Sales Representative position or similar
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products
Tertiary qualifications in Pharmacy, Science, Nursing, Business, Marketing or Education. Alternatively, extensive pharmaceutical sales experience.
Completion of Medicines Australia CEP
Full Driver Licence
Desirable skills and experience
Experience in the Rare Disease setting
Experience and working knowledge of the hospital environment in cardiology, nephrology and neurology
Key Account or Project Management skills
