About the role
UGLs Manufacturing & Maintenance business is seeking a Sourcing Coordinator to join our Supply chain team based at our Broadmeadow facility in Newcastle on a full time permanent basis.
Reporting the Category Manager Sourcing, the role of Sourcing Coordinator will work in conjunction with the Category Manager Sourcing is to be responsible for the establishment, implementation and management of strategic procurement that delivers optimal commercial and business advantage by applying category management disciplines for the procurement of goods and services. This will include; providing pricing from suppliers to the relevant lines of business within UGL for all tender, sales and operational requirements as well as negotiating service level agreements with both domestic and international vendors.
A tertiary qualification in supply chain, logistics, commercial management, or an engineering related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in a procurement environment with sourcing, category management and/or supplier performance management to achieve organisational objectives.
Proficient skills in computers: SAP, MS Word, Excel, email.
Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, military, Defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment.
