The role
As an Investment Performance and Data Analyst you will be reporting into the Manager, Investment MI. You will be supporting the delivery of timely, accurate and insightful investments management information for Group Investments (GI) as a member of GI’s Business Operations and Sustainable Investing team. The main functions of the investment MI team are executing performance and attribution calculations, maintaining portfolio data and metrics that matter and active contribution to management reporting materials.
How will I help?
A day in the role may look a bit like this;
Responsible for the maintenance of performance, attribution and benchmark calculation processes and ensuring the data output is verified through the control framework
Responsible for data validation processes, and investigation of any anomalies and exceptions with stakeholders.
Actively contribute to MI reporting, including (but not limited to) weekly investment data updates, the monthly performance report suite and cell reviews
Support the Investment MI team’s priorities in the overall support of GI’s business objectives and priorities in alignment with Group Finance’s strategic priorities
Ensure awareness of key risks identified and management of these risks through a strong control framework, with any issues being properly escalated in a timely manner
Active engagement of stakeholders, ensuring evolving business requirements are met, and expectations are managed in relation to delivery
Support the MI team in regularly updating policies and procedures to the required standards
What do I need?
To be successful as an Investment Performance and Data Analyst you will have 2-3 years’ experience within a similar role within Financial Markets.
You will also have;
High quality analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of performance and portfolio concepts (Time-weighted returns, Attribution, Duration, Spread Duration, and various Yield measures)
Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of establishing and maintaining relationships across the business and influencing where required
Ability to communicate, report and present to senior management 
Adaptable, embraces change and pro-active in challenging and improving business processes
