Our Environment, Health, and Safety roadmap and practices are core to Asahi Beverages' business, and we are looking for a passionate Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Lead to join our NZ business based out of our Papakura facility. Reporting to the Group Head of Health & Safety Business Partnering, you will drive the EHS culture at Asahi Beverages New Zealand, and ensure all Environmental, Health, and Safety activities are carried out effectively across our NZ Supply Chain footprint and drive a continuous improvement mindset across our NZ team.
You will be responsible to continually improve environment, health, safety, claims and injury management performance in a sustainable manner by ensuring the development, implementation, and maintenance of key EHS and injury management and return to work processes aligned to organisations strategic plan requirements and local legislative obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead implementation of and drive continuous improvement of local EHS programs and processes linked to the Environment, Health & Safety Roadmap.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in EHS activities and management of non-conformance issues.
Drive EHS incident investigation and reporting processes through coaching and support to ensure timely reporting, recording, investigation, closing of corrective actions and sharing of learnings within business.
Implement and monitor the behavioural based safety program
In consultation with business managers, drive a proactive injury management program to support the achievement of key performance measures including early return to work
Work with internal & external resources to ensure EHS compliance and systems training, and induction requirements are met, including maintenance of training records and licenses.
Lead and maintain ISO45001 and ISO14001 certification and surveillance program.
About You
3-5 years practical experience in a EHS role within a manufacturing environment and demonstrated performance improvement in OHS / Environment in an industrial environment.
An understanding of business, issues and restraints faced by line managers in implementing EHS processes and programs.
Experience in relationship management of both internal clients and external stakeholders.
Prior experience in participating in third party audits and corrective action planning.
Detailed knowledge of EHS legislation and industry standards and experience in dealing with EHS Regulatory bodies.
Experience in ISO14005/45001 certification will be beneficial.
