Commercial Analyst - New Business Development
Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns and operates one of Australia’s largest gas infrastructure businesses supplying more than two million customers across every Australian mainland state and the Northern Territory. AGIG owns approximately 34,000kms of gas distribution pipelines, 5000kms of Gas Transmission Pipeline assets and the second largest Gas Storage Facility in Australia. About the Role:
The Commercial Analyst is responsible for providing the day-to-day analytical support to the Commercial Operations team. The role will provide analytical support during the Access Arrangement cycle, re-contracting, and ad hoc request for analytical work. This is a permanent full-time position based in Perth CBD.
Responsibilities:
Support the Business Development team through new business research and analysis identifying potential development projects (including new services, business improvement, and mergers and acquisitions)
Prepare market demand analysis and revenue forecasts
Support & coordinate specific business development projects from identification through to official project sanction stage 
Keep abreast of industry and political developments that could result in new opportunities for acquisition or development either alone or in partnership with others
Prepare and analyse data for business development and investment opportunities. This will involve considerable investigation and research activities
Participate in commercial negotiations and prepare approval papers
About You: 
Degree qualified in a relevant commercial discipline
Skilled in economic modelling (excel based) across various business sectors and fiscal regimes
Displays contract arrangement and commercial operations competence.
Drafted and negotiated elements of simple agreements and made recommendations to modify existing commercial agreements 
Understands JV structure and issues
Understands energy markets particularly the domestic Australian gas market
Basic negotiating skills with developing practical application supporting a more experienced negotiator
Strong communication, presentation and report writing skills
