About the Area
The comprehensive review of state school resourcing project sits within Finance, Procurement and Facilities Division and is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective use of departmental resources. Its activities encompass the development, monitoring and analysis of the department's business and operational performance. We develop innovative and effective financial approaches to investment and funding opportunities.
About the Role
You will manage a small team focused on providing high-level analysis of state school resourcing matters with the purpose of influencing service transformation in supporting accomplishment of key organisational objectives. It is imperative that you are able to rapidly establish collaborative partnerships and can demonstrate high-level project management accomplishment within large complex organisations. You will manage the delivery of expert and comprehensive analysis of workforce resourcing data and trends to support and shape decision making both operationally and strategically within and across the organisation. In addition, you will champion innovation and provide a team environment that fosters high performance dedicated to building organisational capability to meet community expectations.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with departmental strategy, commitments and goals.
Provide high quality written and oral advice on complex issues including the preparation of complex reports, briefings, submissions and other communication on a range of strategic and operational issues.
Provide high level leadership in facilitating the establishment and ongoing coordination of key stakeholder groups.
Undertake risk identification, assessment and management, recommending best practice strategies to minimise risk exposure and maximise opportunities.
Develop and implement frameworks, systems and processes to ensure effective implementation of project objectives.
About You
To be successful in the role, you'll need:
superior project management experience and a record of achievement in leading and managing critical, highly complex transformational projects in a large and complex organisation
to interpret complex information and issues, think laterally and pursue innovative solutions in accordance with legislation, policy and procedures
to leverage relationships to maximise the impact of communications with team members, stakeholders and customers
to show initiative and commit energy and drive to see that goals are achieved, and work progressed to meet objectives.
High-level experience in leading projects and a proven record of achievement in managing highly complex transformational projects will be well regarded.
