Dommar, a long standing South Australia Construction and Project Management company (with over 33 years proven experience) requires a number of suitably qualified Project Managers, Contract Managers and Project Engineers to work on various new major civil / road infrastructure projects located throughout metro Adelaide and regional South Australia.
Ideally, the candidates will have tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or similar with a minimum 5 to 12 years experience with delivery of major civil / road infrastructure projects. A number of positions are offered with min 12 to 24 months engagement. Tasks and duties listed below are respective for the applicable role and experience level for the position of Project Managers, Contract Managers or Project Engineers:
Working with Dommar in the role of Superintendent for our tier one national clients to manage their tier one construction contractors to safely and effectively deliver projects and/or a program of works ranging from $5m to $200m plus.
Ideally having experience as a Project Manager, Contract Manager or Project Engineer to direct works with both technical and commercial acumen with a focus on safety and environmental management, strong team leadership skills with effective communication.
Experience leading multi-discipline teams, manage and coordinate designs, costs, time and quality for multiple projects.
Management of safety include risk management and mitigation through design and best practice construction delivery methods.
Manage project budgets and procurement with appropriate cost controls, critical and contractual time frames, including quality of deliverables.
Undertakes project health checks and reporting, including construction delivery status of the works, safety and quality.
Experienced with effective high level negotiations and communication skills include providing the project contractors with assistance in achieving safe and positive delivery outcomes.
Experience to manage and engage across complex internal and external stakeholders include local communities / businesses and negotiate mutually acceptable outcomes.
