Reporting to the National Sales and BD Manager, this role is heavily aligned with the company's growth plan for the next few years.
As the National Account Manager, you will oversee some of their largest corporate accounts. This role will concentrate on providing Requests for Proposals (RFP) and then providing ongoing strategic Account Management.
In particular, you will:
Identify key decision-making stakeholders, economic buyers, and key influencers within a designated industry portfolio of approximately 40-50 accounts
Identify and align the client's Apartments and Hotels and the associated National Account to each others strategic business plan
Develop specialist knowledge of portfolio, including a deep understanding of industry trends and opportunities for the hotel group and sharing key industry updates with relevant stakeholders
Prepare and deliver industry analysis reports
Prepare strategic account plans for portfolio including key contacts, location, and project analysis
Identify and act on potential sales and revenue opportunities for the Group
Build long-term relationships with accounts to retain and grow the company's brand
Build and improve cross-location relationships among accounts and their suppliers
Measure, monitor, and deliver revenue objectives for the industry portfolio and implement plans to ensure overall targets are achieved
Identify opportunities for new hotel and apartment franchises and share relevant information with the corporate travel market
Maintain all account intelligence in Salesforce.
As well as being a highly developed stakeholder/relationship manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following skill set
Demonstrated success in an account/relationship management/sales role in a business-to-business environment at a senior level
Ability to develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) and present these to the targeted client
Experience with creating strategic national corporate customer strategies
Strong numerical acumen, including knowledge of pricing and contracting
An understanding of the operational process of an accommodation/hotel business would be an advantage.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
Proficiency in using a sales CRM would be useful, particularly in Salesforce
Proficiency with the use of Lanyon would be useful
An understanding of franchising as a business model (would be an advantage)
