The Team:
The Strategic HR, Policy & Innovation team is responsible for the design and implementation of the One Health Culture Program, a range of HR transformation activities, HR policy and other strategic workforce initiatives.
As a member of the Strategic HR, Policy & Innovation team, the Consultant - Policy and People Development is responsible for the development and review of HR policy and related educational resources; the coordination of workforce development initiatives as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives and managing HR projects that support the delivery of quality human resource practices across the Department.
The Role:
In conjunction with the Manager - Policy and People Development, initiate and coordinate a range of HR projects and initiatives that contribute to improved HR practices and service delivery.
Consult with stakeholders to determine priorities and develop and maintain best practice employment policy and workforce development initiatives across the Department. This includes representing HR at interagency and whole-of-government working groups and steering committees.
Undertake high level research and analysis of complex workforce issues and HR business needs, and lead and participate in the development, implementation, review and evaluation of flexible and responsive options, recommendations and solutions.
Develop and prepare a range of high-quality documentation, including policy, communication materials, training and guidance resources, reports, briefings, project documentation, minutes and recommendations for senior management.

Details of Appointment:
Permanent, full time, day work,position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Applicants should note that, for a period of six months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Base Salary: $97,266 to $110,374 per annum + 10.5% superannuation
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019

Relevant qualification from a recognised institution or equivalent experience

crimes involving dishonesty
