Permanent Role – Flexible Location Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane
About the role:
The position is the Operations leader responsible for the Offshore Purchasing /EDI (Electric Data Interface), Vendor Data Management and onshore Procurement Help Desk operations. The role will help to drive the BAU delivery and improvement in Procurement operations through one of Suncorp’s Business Process Outsourcing partners (Genpact/ India).
More specifically, you will:
Partner with Procurement Category Management & Procurement Performance & Frameworks team to improve and deliver performance against Procurement Strategy.
Deliver best in class transactional Procurement R2P (requisition to PO) operations, Vendor Management support, Operational quality assurance and Helpdesk operations.
Monitor & improve partner performance through Governance and reporting frameworks.
Monitor operational oversight of partner delivery of core procurement operations processes
Design & maintain clear Procurement Operations documentation and controls
Maintain risk & compliance oversight to delivery of procurement policy & operations
Drive partner focus on continuous improvement, process ownership and performance against SLA’s.
Oversee Partner on-boarding, including training, access, reporting and document retention.
About you:
Tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience - Desired
Experienced procurement professional with 5 + years’ experience in category management or procurement, Mandatory
Experience working in and managing offshore procurement function(s)
Experience across various procurement activities including vendor/category management
Understand the impact of Supply Chain structures and cost drivers
Strong negotiation skills demonstrated across a range of supplier, commercial and internal stakeholder management contexts
Strong oral and written communication skills to achieve work outcomes and maintain effective work and stakeholder relations
Demonstrate experience in understanding and extracting benefits out of value chains
Key Capabilities:
Highly developed customer focused approach with advanced analytical skills
Adaptable and supportive of a fast changing, continuous improvement culture
Strong oral and written communication skills to achieve work outcomes and maintain effective work and stakeholder relations
Ability to deal with a range of issues that may involve uncertainty and require a multi-disciplinary solution
Excellent PC skills, particularly with the full Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Ability to cope with pressure while collaborative and consultative
Deadline and accuracy driven
Develop and maintain a high degree of credibility with management and support staff
Strong demonstration of Suncorp’s values and behaviours
Ability to confidently identify and question assumptions and seek the relevant evidence for verification.
