$95,177 - $107,129 (dependent on experience) plus 10.5% Superannuation

How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne:
This position functions as a Freedom of Information (FOI) and Privacy role. As the Governance Officer, it supports Council and the Administration to carry out their democratic responsibilities and functions in an open, accountable and proactive way. The Governance Officer also provides specialist administrative support in relation to the Council and Committee meeting process, signing and sealing documents and various council business matters as needed.
What you will bring…
Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
Demonstrated experience in administrative work with high attention to detail, specifically: excellent word processing, preparation of agendas, and taking of accurate minutes.
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Well-developed organisational and time management skills and the ability to work with changing priorities in a high pressure/high volume area.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective working relationships with a wide range of people.
Ability to demonstrate initiative in ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard and experience in identifying and recommending improvement to systems/processes.
Ability to effectively maintain organisation-wide (statutory and non-statutory) registers and team spreadsheets.
Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a small, cohesive team to achieve team/organisational goals.
The ability to act as a Freedom of Information and Privacy officer.
