The role
An exciting, newly created opportunity for a Finance Optimisation Lead has arisen in our Finance/Shared Services team. Reporting to the Head of Optimisation, you will lead a variety of projects that improve any of our Finance/Shared services systems and platforms to ultimately achieve user and cost optimisation for the business.
This is a highly visible role to showcase your leadership, project management, problem solving and finance experience to drive change and best practice thinking.
What you will be doing
The role will focus primarily on project work with a blend of shared services BAU tasks to support the broader team:
Deliver improvements across new and existing systems as project lead
Review and optimise existing processes and drive continuous improvement opportunities
Perform detailed testing over new processes or systems
Assist with the review and resolution of ad-hoc systems issues experienced by business teams
Shared Services
Manage the offshore finance team to cover annual leave periods
Oversee the processing of shared service functions including leases (& associated billings), accounts payable, receivable etc.
Develop a deep understanding of business processes, systems, policies and procedures to support both optimisation and BAU work
What makes you stand out
To excel in this role, you would ideally come from an Accounting background with expertise in SAP, financial processing and some technical leadership exposure. You will bring strong project management skills and thrive in identifying continuous improvement opportunities in a corporate environment. Alternatively, you could be a senior accounting professional looking to expand your finance career in a project management capacity.
