Management - Internal (Human Resources & Recruitment)
You will play a critical role in managing the HR function for the business. You will deliver on business priorities by partnering with managers to implement initiatives designed to drive business performance and measure results. A key component of this role is coaching managers who will lean on you to leverage your commercial acumen in managing human resources.
Helloworld Travel is a fast-paced environment, and you will need to think on your feet and handle multiple tasks at once. Therefore, you need to be a strong communicator, delegator and dedicated to the task. To help deliver on your outcomes, a small team of HR business partners will report to you.
The purpose of your role is to:
Manage HR policy and procedure across the business
Understand business requirements and partner with managers to deliver measured outcomes including performance management and development
Coach, develop and empower managers to drive a high-performance culture
Contribute to workforce plans and recruitment programmes
Provide pro-active advice and steer on complex ER matters, and act as the escalation point in these matters
Challenge business practices to find new ways of working leveraging resources from other centres around the world
Use your analytical skills and draw on data to identify opportunities to lower the labour cost base
As a team leader for the HR team, you will:
Provide advice and support on case management ensuring minimal legal risk to the business
Provide support in terms of legislation and ER implications
Coach and develop the team on HR practices
Act as the contact point when things get tough
Ensure HR brand standards are in place
Conduct regular performance reviews to develop skills sets
To succeed in this role, you need:
A bachelor’s degree in commerce, HR/management – or studying towards one.
Previous experience supporting senior leadership teams
Strong HR business partnering skills levels - be a trusted advisor to the business, demonstrating effective relationship management skills to engage, inspire and influence at all levels
Demonstrated ability to link business strategy to people & culture plans
Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into commercial solutions/advice on people matters
Strong problem-solving / innovation skills to fit solutions to unique business situations
Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to deliver difficult messages to senior leadership
Ability to apply strong commercial judgement/decision-making in an ever-changing, complex and ambiguous environment
Proven experience in organisational design, engagement strategies, cultural alignment and development
A growth mindset with a passion for coaching and developing capability
