Our client is seeking people to join its high performing team to support a range of Northern Territory based opportunities.
Your New Role
Your role as a Project Manager will focus on leading our client’s Northern Territory business unit by supporting its client’s construction projects with management and engineering construction expertise through planning, execution, and completion stages of projects. The team in NT is currently growing, currently comprised of project engineering expertise guided and maintained through the Queensland Head Office. Your leadership will support the team in delivering project management services solutions to NT based clients and projects. You will work closely with the Partners in the business to continue to cultivate growth in its NT business unit.
Your consultative skills should be strong – able to communicate with clients to identify their needs and you will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop solutions. As a consultant, you will have responsibility to provide your project management skills to projects and clients. 
The role will have exposure to a range of construction disciplines and there will be a focus on transportation (road and rail), energy, resources, and water projects. The application of your existing project experience will be very highly regarded. The Project Manager will act as a subject matter expert through tendering activities, develop management plans for construction execution, manage time, cost and quality on projects through to commissioning activities. 
We are looking for an individual who can operate at a high level, with a demonstrated record of doing what it takes to deliver projects successfully. They should have an established network of contacts and relationships in the Northern Territory and should be willing to support business development activities. Your involvement in risk identification and implementation of controls at all stages of project lifecycles will be necessary and you should be applying your experience to continually seek safe, efficient, and productive construction scenarios.
Responsibilities Include
Team leadership, support, and guidance
Project planning and methodology development
Develop, implement, and maintain project documentation – plans, test checklists, etc.
Project reporting
Project controls management – risk identification and management
Client liaison and stakeholder communications
Coordinate the delivery of activities to achieve project quality, time, and budget objectives
Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s safety, quality assurance & environmental management system
What you will need to succeed
Full Australian working rights
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering – Civil, post graduate project management qualifications will be highly regarded
A strong track record on construction projects - Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Australia
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Strong analytic and creative problem-solving skills
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite – expert proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project
Demonstrated ability to engage at all levels of a project delivery team
Ability to prioritise and work to tight, often competing deadlines
Membership with appropriate professional industry bodies highly regarded
