We have an opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join the team at the Stockland Rockhampton Shopping Centre. The largest regional centre between Maroochydore and Mackay, Stockland Rockhampton is a vibrant and dynamic town centre destination. Anchored by Woolworths, Coles, Kmart, Big W and Birch Carroll and Coyle, Stockland Rockhampton offers an extensive selection of stores and services comprised of 12 mini-majors and more than 160 specialty stores.
The Opportunity - About the Role
Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for organising and coordinating the operational management of the Centre whilst containing expenditure within budget. You will also ensure proper and efficient operation of the Centre's physical aspects, creating and sustaining a safe and productive environment for the occupants.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects of major building works for Retail including demolitions, make goods, fit outs, refurbishments, major repairs and service installations
Engage specialist consultants and obtain relevant building approvals as required
Assist with operational and capital expenditure budgets
Design and develop project management policies, procedures and reporting systems
Provide operations progress reporting
Assist in delivering our target reduction programs regarding energy, water and waste
Promote and ensure full compliance with the RETAIL HS&E Plan
Management and development of Facilities Management team
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through delivery of outstanding service
About You
Extensive experience of Operations Management
Background in Commercial Property (ideally Retail) would be highly beneficial
Experience in formulating and monitoring budgets
Sound knowledge of OH&S and legislative compliance and practices
Natural team leader who is experienced in managing and developing a multi-disciplined team
Strong client service focus, with an ability to build and maintain effective relationships
Strong organisational and time management skills, with high level of attention to detail
Sound written and verbal communication skills
