What's the role?We’re looking for a highly motivated, goal driven and experienced Business Developer to join our META Partners Team. This role, which has a clear focus on Mining, will be based at Hilti South Africa Head-office, Midrand –however the role does require extensive travel to other African countries. As the Business Developer for Mining, your role is to develop the relationships in our partner markets on Focused Projects, with key Mining Houses, Specifiers and EPCM’s in order to increase the competence of our Hilti’s distributors that we utilize in these marketsWhat are the role responsibilities ?You will be accountable for sales development (direct or indirect) – while managing the complex dimensions of account development. Your ability to negotiate at high-levels while presenting and defending the value proposition of technical products will be key to building up the required competences of in-market account managers. Maximizing top-line sales on an international projects, operational mines and processing plants will be a key responsibility, along with managing relationship with all key stakeholders - in these markets. Your ability to expand customer relationships within the focus accounts/mines must be supported by your competence to develop, implement and execute the strategy to win with these focus accounts (local/ int’l). You will act as primary contact point for assigned accounts and build relationship with the top management of those accounts. You will take lead to drive activities in the project/mines locations – direct or indirect, so as to drive results in those accounts to produce an over-proportional growth outcome. This includes you implementing the right actions to improve processes, where required. Driving engagements with regional and global teams to build upfront specification, is critical to ensure conversion and reverse engineering. What you need is: • A completed tertiary qualification (business, marketing, mining, engineering, or related disciplines preferred) • Minimum 3-4 years business development and /or sales experience in mining – your sector and industry knowledge in mining , is crucial • Microsoft Office Skills and Excellent English Skills (Written and Spoken) • Stakeholder engagement and management across all hierarchical levels • Valid driver’s license and Passport • High level of motivation, very strong customer focus and a technical solutions’ orientated mindset • Ability to work independently and influence others Why you should apply?
