The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for the development, maintenance, training, reporting and ongoing business-impacting improvements of Workiva's sales operations and Salesforce. This position interacts with internal business users to understand core issues, business concerns and needs and extracts key requirements to present solid information leading to business results. Managing processes and identifying emerging market opportunities, facilitating data review and reporting, and developing sales strategies are typical duties for the Sales Operations Manager.

What You'll Do

Sales Operations Manager: Subject matter expert and owner of one or more Sales Operations processes including territory management, pricing and contract approvals, and variable compensation design

* Audits existing products for improvements, tool integration usage, data hygiene, workflows and business reporting

* Maintains overall system configuration, sales, and marketing reporting and data maintenance

* Participates in cross-functional teams that address strategic business issues across departments

* Develops a thorough understanding of the business and market to provide support to the sales team

* Looks for ways to improve sales reporting through strategic thinking

* Provides strong business insight to geography and solution based sales leaders

* Works with sales leadership to generate and update recurring existing and new reports.

* Provides updates to operations team on resources to help maintain organization headcount budgets

People Management: May manage a team in Sales Operations. Builds a strong sustainable organization with high levels of employee engagement by attracting and developing superior talent and rewarding superior performance of teams and individuals

* Provides employees with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities including leadership development to enhance their skills, motivation, and performance

* Maintains an atmosphere of respect, mutual support, flexibility, continuous learning, good humor, and commitment to business goals and customer needs to fulfill the company vision

* Matches staff skills and talent to tasks to ensure optimal engagement and performance

* Rewards superior team and individual performance in ways that enhance employee engagement, commitment, and satisfaction

* Establishes and maintains relationships and effectively communicates with customers, business unit leaders and senior management to raise visibility and ensure collaboration with appropriate key stakeholders

* Manages operations staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, performance management, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions

* Demonstrates the charisma and assessment capability to attract top talent

* Identifies and resolves interpersonal conflicts and resource issues

* 5+ years of overall experience in finance and/or sales operations in technology companies

* Proficiency in the use of technology and tools leveraged by the sales organization to manage the business


* Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field preferred

Travel Requirement

* Minimal Travel is required
