The Orchard is looking for a Business & Marketing Assistant, Australia & New Zealand to join their dynamic team in the Sydney office.

This role will provide you with exposure local and international artist marketing and broad experience the Australian music industry.

As the Business & Marketing Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the Artist & Label Services team and the General Manager in their day to day operations for a 6 month paternity contract.

You will be reporting to the General Manager for Australia & New Zealand.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager to execute impactful and customised campaigns.
  • Update artists stat sheets/timelines/marketing calendars, one-sheets, sales and streaming stat reports and other key marketing information regularly (using Monday.com and Google Workspace).
  • Build and share campaign reports and updates internally, and to third parties on single, album and video launches.
  • Assist General Manager with day-to-day communications and administration.
  • Work alongside our internal teams to help generate creative and appropriate assets, tools and materials for campaigns.
  • Organise and update the storage of single and project specific assets received from other departments and third parties.
  • Work alongside our internal global advertising team to generate social media strategy campaigns.
  • Compile and report information on social media strategies for new and existing projects
  • Assist with invoice processing and update campaign budget trackers
  • Assist in execution of marketing ideas, campaigns, OOH activations, and events
  • Undertake continuous analysis of current and future trends in music, music business and pop culture.
  • About you:

  • Passion for independent music and record labels.
  • 1-2 years experience in the music industry (within a distributor, marketing company, record label or management company preferred).
  • You have knowledge of the current music landscape including different DSPs and editorial playlisting.
  • You have the ability to work well in a fast paced environment and are a highly motivated, self-starter and a team player.
