The Kuiper Global Development team is focused on launching and operating the Kuiper service across the globe.
A successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial and highly analytical, understand business and financial models for subscription services, and adept at understanding how businesses work in APAC. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy with a proven track record of leading new initiatives and creating innovative, local solutions specifically adapted to connectivity needs in APAC.

Key job responsibilities
Develop strategy, GTM, business models and plans for the APAC region
Engage in business development efforts and contract negotiation with local partners to prepare for Kuiper service in APAC.
Partner with legal, tax and regulatory to develop country planning for partnerships and operations
Be an accessible and visible leader to the organization
Analyze and recommend approaches for service
Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders
Prepare a detailed business case for justification of new opportunities
Once operational, meet business goals, performance objectives and deliver a fantastic customer experience
A day in the life
You will lead our efforts to develop go-to-market plans and business cases, identify partnerships and service provider relationships, and work across Amazon to develop a compelling model of operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of leadership experience as a general manager, or head of business development or strategy
• 5+ years responsibility in managing business metrics, including overall P&L, revenue targets and/or customer satisfaction/loyalty. A thorough understanding of business and economic models is a must.
• 5+ years of experience in consumer telecommunications (pay TV, phone or internet) or satellite services in APAC or Australia/NZ
• 7+ years in an entrepreneurial, start-up or other fast-paced environment
• Undergraduate degree or related working experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Ability to travel internationally
•Experience in leading contract negotiations
•Strong writing skills
· Experience building and managing successful teams, especially geographically diverse teams
· Understanding of telecommunications, internet and/or satellite technology
· Knowledge and familiarity with telecommunications regulatory authorities in APAC countries
· Able to apply high level analytical and creative problem-solving skills to complex problems
