Day in the life of…

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Buyer/Category Manger to join our National Store Support Centre located in Rochedale, Brisbane. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Buying.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Regularly review competitor activity, ensuring range and pricing align with best in market
  • Set the product range and strategy for a designated category
  • Review and understand KPI reports in order to meet targets
  • Negotiate product prices, volumes and terms with suppliers
  • Collaborating with other divisions within the business to execute Company goals and strategies
  • Fostering strong relationships with our suppliers
  • Product sourcing & development

About you:

  • Has previous experience in a Buying role or Category management role
  • Loves working in a team environment 
  • Can operate in a fast paced environment and stay calm under pressure
  • Experience in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Has a high level of attention to detail and proven problem solving abilities
  • Has a passion for retail, buying and product development
