Overview The Clinical Applications Project Manager will serve as the project and education manager, overseeing various ancillary projects, implementation of new practices, onboarding both new Providers and Clinics and other daily management responsibilities. Serves as a key member of the IT leadership team. SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION: This position is a designated as "Safety Sensitive Position" under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to Patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services. Responsibilities JOB PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Participates in the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of clinical applications used by the health system. Must maintain an up-to-date understanding of the processes and systems in place in the health system. Responsible for leading clinical workflow development and recommendations for end users. Will serve as the clinical expert guiding the clinical team to manage the use of clinical applications and suggest workflows to enhance efficiency, streamlined provider/staff documentation, and patient throughput. Coordinates analysts, both in the IS Department and assigned within other hospital departments to provide an efficient and functional information systems software platform for management of hospital records and data. Oversee Application Systems staff in project management and clinical initiatives, and will often interact directly with senior hospital management, serving as manager for clinical applications. Performs evaluation, testing, implementation, upgrades, support, and maintenance of the EHR and associated applications. Evaluates and recommends proposed new technology, products, and system updates. Diagnoses problems, evaluates solutions and communicates resolution to users and management. Any other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Requires full range of body motion including lifting a weight of 25 pounds or more and requires standing and walking. Requires corrected vision and hearing in normal range. Must be able to work around frequent interruptions and able to cope with stress. Excellent verbal and written skills An ability and willingness to work with patients' growth and development needs over the entire life span KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to be self-directed and possess effective team and leadership skills Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills. Thorough knowledge of Nursing practices and principles in clinical areas of responsibility. Ability to meet deadlines and work under times of intense pressure. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Attends team meetings and mandatory in-services. Chairs and participates in committees which assist in staff and medical care facility growth. Demonstrates knowledge of current nursing and medical practice as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines for quality health care, and hospital policies and procedures. Qualifications MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of the following fields: Nursing or other Healthcare provider Information Systems (Computer Science, MIS, etc) 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in a hospital Information Systems environment, or 5+ years' experience in the field of healthcare consulting. Strong preference for experience with Meditech Health Information Systems desired. Other education and experience may be substituted (if applicable) for the required minimum job qualifications with the approval of the Chief Human Resources Officer.
