Medical Receptionist Lead - New Bedford, MA

Full-time position

* Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

* Prior experience with EMR is helpful, but will train the right candidate
* Past experience in supervisory position


* Oversee a team of Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists
* Welcome patients and visitors in person or on the phone; answering or referring inquiries
* Optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone
* Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays
* Triage calls by order of importance
* Assist providers with documentation and paperwork
* Ensure proper coverage of clinic during all business hours
* Comfort patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area
* Ensures availability to treatment information by electronically filing and retrieving patient records
* Maintain patients accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
* Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients
* Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies
* Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
* Maintain operations by following policies and procedures along with reporting necessary changes
* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as directed by management
* On-Call
