Brown & Brown of Florida is seeking Sales Producers to join our Personal Lines/Private Client Divisions across the region! This individual will be responsible for personal lines insurance account sales, prospecting, working with the client/prospect on the financial and contractual features of their insurance plans, and for coordinating with the Account Manager as necessary.

As a Personal Lines Sales Producer, you will work with clients on a daily basis tailoring to their personal insurance needs. New sales are the focus of the position and cross sales of existing clients is also encouraged.

No prior insurance experience is required - Must have successful B2B sales experience!


* Create a market plan with direction and assistance from Agency management

* Relationship building

* Continually identify and locate prospects based upon the market plan

* Contact prospects by personal visits, over the telephone, and by direct mail

* Determine expiration dates plus present scope of insurance coverage by analyzing existing exposures

* Determine the prospect's needs and wants - present alternative insurance solutions and products

* Qualify a prospect for both eligibility and acceptability (to include financial, health, stability, and profitability)

* Create Prospecting Reports, as requested by Sales Manager/PCL

* Provide Clients/Prospects with a complete risk review

* Defines exposure analysis

* Present proposals ensuring company minimum limits are maintained and follows-up with client/prospect

* Gather all information necessary for complete submissions to Carriers

* Review endorsement, claim, audit and cancellation notices when sent by AM. Notifies AM of action desired in a timely fashion


* 3+ years of successful consumer sales experience

* Experience selling in affluent market highly preferred

* 2-20 Florida P&C License (or willingness to obtain within 60 day of employment)

* College degree highly preferred

* Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows Suite

* Ability to daytime travel (60%)

* This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.
