As the head of the RMG group your responsibility would be to initiate and sustain the Resource Management Group as a department. This would include setting the department up from scratch, writing the policies/process and working closely with the delivery, customer and prospects and managing the entire talent pool.
Setting up of the RMG practice - ground up
Billable resource management - Bench and allocations across teams. Work closely with the development teams to understand the skills required and prepare the bench/skill the bench accordingly.
Reporting on bench and utilisation across all customers
Skill and Competency management - Define skills, levels and certify resrources
Upskilling and cross skilling resources. Utilise corporate online resources to train and manage certify skill levels.
Prospect discussions and Hiring for new accounts/customer
Facilitate hiring for the delivery team and new customers
Forecasting talent needs and proactive hiring
Hiring budgets - Define for skills and manage budgeting across projects
Reporting on utilisation, hiring and other budgetary needs
Manage direct margins across all accounts
Attributes that we would look for
Worked at least about 6-8 years in a resource management group preferably in a software services company
Demonstrate leadership capability to work and define policies and work across teams
Mandatory to work from office - Bangalore
Demonstrate capabilities to resolve conflicts, handle people with compassions
Ability to navigate cross functional teams
