PSG currently provides school-based services in various districts in Kenosha, Racine, Walworth, West Allis/West Milwaukee, Washington and Green Lake; working with children and their families who are struggling with academic and behavioral concerns within the school environment.

Providing services within the school increases access to services for families who may not be able to go to an outpatient clinic on their own. School-Based staff go directly into the school to provide intervention including individual and group therapy, education/consultation for school personnel, and family therapy as needed.

We are now accepting resumes for a part-time, leading to full-time, School Based Therapists across our school-based therapy programs.

Salary: $22.00 to $24.00/hour training license, $28.00 to $32.00/hour licensed. The hourly and salary range is based on experience and licensure, and is paid over nine months of the school year. Opportunity to earn additional hourly rate for 3 months of summer. Plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview and evaluate children and families to complete the intake process.
  • Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments.
  • Formulate, implement, evaluate and review client treatment plans.
  • Provide psychotherapy in accordance with the child's treatment plans.
  • Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill in addressing family system, mental health, parenting, and alcohol/drug issues through individual, family, or group counseling.
  • Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
  • Must have a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related field.
  • Must possess a Wisconsin LPC, LPC-IT, APSW, or LCSW or be eligible to obtain one.
  • Completion of 3,000 supervised hours and licensure as recognized by the State of Wisconsin.
  • Complete Continuing Educations credits as required by license.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours of clinical experience preferred.
