For our office in St. Catharines, Ontario we are looking for Manager/Senior Manager – Finance Transformation to join our international team.

Reporting to Director, Finance & Accounting, the Manager/Sr. Manager Finance Transformation is responsible for leading a team of analysts and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, IT and external consultants on strategic initiatives to transform the Order-to-Cash (i.e., order entry, customer credit, invoicing, accounts receivable, collections), Procure-to-Pay (procurement, invoicing, accounts payable, payment), record-to-report (i.e., fixed assets, inventory, payroll, financial close, consolidation, financial reporting) processes. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with extensive background in the design, planning, building, and optimizing of data and information systems to improve the Finance operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct walkthroughs, control testing and interviewing to understand existing processes and determine areas for process improvement within Finance.
Drive improvements to existing workflows resulting in improved accuracy, efficiencies and/or cost savings.
Evaluate the existing month end, quarter end and year end processes and implement improvements that result in faster publication of the financial statements.
Work as part of a global cross-functional team to design, configure and implement process improvements and systems within the functional areas listed above.
Oversee and provide guidance for the ongoing day-to-day activities and longer-term strategic direction of the department including automation and process streamlining initiatives.
Complete post implementation process reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved.
Develop collaborative relationships acting as a well-respected, trusted partner cross functionality with key stakeholders.
Other related duties as required or assigned.

YOUR PROFILE

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
7+ years working in a finance environment (CPA designation is a plus)
Must have hands on controls implementation experience
Proven track record in process improvement within a Finance Department
Proven management experience with an emphasis on collaboration and team/individual development
Experience implementing cloud-based ERP tool for Finance Operations (e.g., SAP, Dynamics, Oracle)
Completed at least 2~3 full life cycles of end-2-end ERP implementation in FI/FICO area.
Experience in FI/FICO process mapping & optimization
Experience in multi-country tax regulations
Knowledge in various Chart of Accounts: Canada, Germany, Belgium, Italy, etc
Knowledge of technical architecture & measure in a FI/FICO related ERP implementation
Ability to communicate and present complex topics in a clear and concise manner
Strong negotiation skills to gain buy-in among peers, cross-functional and executive team members
Ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines
Have a curious mindset with a desire to continue learning with an interest in upskilling for a digital world and with an openness to learning new tools and adapting new ways of working and technology trends.
