Sponsorship Sales Executive

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: £25k to £40k depending on experience.

Flexible working hours

My client is in the research services sector. They feature many national and international conferences, thought-leadership articles, webinars, presentations and interviews with the leading financial professionals across the world. An attractive opportunity has arisen for a Sponsorship Sales Executive to join their friendly and sociable team to sell across and secure sponsorship revenue.

The Job Role:

As a Sponsorship Sales Executive, you will be selling multi-tiered sponsorship packages for their events and publishing. You will be required to seek out appropriate partners, develop relationships with relevant decision makers and sell over the counter (OTC) and bespoke packages to fit the objectives of clients.

You will have:

  • Past experience in B2B sales and research
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills both telephone and face-to-face
  • Friendly and approachable manner
  • Experience selling OTC and bespoke sponsorship packages to UK and international clients for established large scale and launch events
  • Be able to grow revenue across a base of existing clients but also with the ability to prospect and source new business
  • Experience maintaining regular contact with clients and formulate innovative, creative and profitable solutions for their business
  • Minimum six years’ experience in a delegate and/or sponsorship sales role
  • Candidates with strong sales experience, and a desire to learn and develop within the events industry, will also be considered.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Commercial Director to develop an inspiring sponsorship inventory
  • Identifying and sourcing prospective clients
  • Maintaining close liaison with the marketing, production and operations teams in order to ensure the delivery of successful customer focused events and publishing
  • Making monthly revenue forecasts, sales reports and manage a sales pipeline
  • Developing and managing a substantial event pipeline throughout the year
  • Growing industry knowledge - you will be out in the market meeting key players
  • Being a key part of the team that creates and develops new events to expand the portfolio
  • Playing your part at the event, managing sponsors and helping with other onsite team duties
