Due to our continual growth, we are seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to join our team based locally to Roxby Downs, or FIFO from Adelaide, SA. Reporting to the Manager, we are seeking an individual to take the lead with of the financial management of the branch and to ensure the reliability of financial information consolidated through to corporate office performance.
Analyse individual job, project manager and department profitability performance against KPI's
Prepare insightful monthly reports including job profitability analysis, labour utilisation, overhead, customer performance, procurement and supplier performance.
Manage the end of month close including timely invoicing, revenue accruals, Work In Progress calculation and forecast submissions
Oversee and assist with job invoicing, Debtors and collections and clearing outstanding commitments.
Preparation of the annual Budget
Become proficient in use of the job cost system and functionality.
Ensure compliance with commercial project/cost minimum standard procedures
Collaboration with Project Managers & Corporate to ensure business objectives are delivered
Assist in the development of tools and process to support sustainable growth
A passion for coaching, mentoring and driving improvement initiatives
What you will bring
Advanced financial management skills including forecasting, analysis and reporting preferable from engineering or manufacturing background.
financial analysis skills suited to aggregating large amounts of data into readily understandable financial reports and analysing costs and interpreting data.
Collaborative personal style.
Advanced computer skills - MS Office Suite particularly Excel. Solid experience using financial management systems and databases eg JD Edwards, Cognos TM1 (preferable/advantageous).
