Process Leader – Investment Accounting & Reporting

Job Title Process Leader

Team / Domain Investment Accounting & Reporting

Reporting To Associate Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Responsibilities

▪ Train new team members on key process tasks

▪ Identify process efficiencies and participate in process improvement initiative

▪ Make updates and amendments to process documentation

▪ Participate in training sessions

▪ Perform transactional activities related to the function at the expected level of delivery in terms of turnaround time and quality while performing the following processes.

▪ Investment Accounting: Asset designation, initial designation of interfaced trades, Initial designation of manual trades, change of designation, de-recognition.

▪ Sub ledger preparation, Nautilus group consolidation, fund summary consolidation.

▪ Valuation and pricing : Accrual/ deferral of interest, valuation pricing

▪ Impairment processing and delivering data to general ledger

▪ Hedge Accounting & designation: Post designations, generate the postings, Post hedge accounting items, post in F1, Generate the postings, post hedge accounting designation

▪ Reporting: Maintain and communicate reporting policies, prepare and analyze reports, distribution of reports and acquiring sign offs & reports submission

Managerial Responsibilities

▪ None as the candidate has no direct report

Service Level Management

▪ Responsible for service delivery by team on agreed key performance metrics of turnaround time, quality, etc.

Education and Experience

▪ CA Inter/ICWA inter /CFA level 2

▪ 3 years experience in investment accounting/reporting for insurance firm

▪ Exposure to finalization of balance sheet, understanding accounting cycle or Experience in trade entry & Asset servicing/ corporate actions/ OTC transactions/ cash and custody position reconciliation mandatory

AND

▪ Previous experience in an Insurance / Asset Management Shared Service environment

▪ Good with management information systems

▪ General understanding of Insurance Business with ability to articulate the different dimensions and indicators with reference to a reporting function would be an added advantage

▪ Open to working in European shifts

▪ Must possess valid passport

▪ Ability to interact with internal(AXA) and external(custodians/bankers etc.) entities

Technical Competencies

▪ Prior experience of working on SAP

▪ Experience of working on tools such as Business Objects Web, SQL, Toad will be an added advantage

▪ Ability to perform tasks on multiple computer applications

Language Skills

▪ English - speaking, reading and writing
