About Us
As the UK's leading developer and manager of retirement communities, we provide high quality homes to exacting specifications. We have received Five Star Award for customer satisfaction for 16 years in succession, the only UK developer, of any size or type, to win this award each year since it was established in 2005. McCarthy Stone operates 475 developments across the UK for more than 20,000 people.
We operate in a growing market - in fact the UK's fastest-growing demographic, with amongst the highest purchasing power in the country. Recently acquired by Lonestar in January 2021 we have an insatiable appetite to grow our land stocks to sustain our position as market leader in the sector.
There is considerable opportunity for a more sophisticated approach to the market, via segmented offerings targeting customers in a focussed way, and an understanding that customers are buying a lifestyle, not just a property.
We believe in championing the role, wellbeing, and happiness of older people in society. We help our customers have a better later life, so they feel more connected, recognised, and valued than ever.
