Care Trainer - East Midlands
An exciting opportunity to join our training team has arisen at Nationwide Care Services and as such we are looking to hear from motivated, enthusiastic domiciliary care trainers or trainers with a background in delivering Common Induction Standards/ Care Certificate to homecare/care workers.
Our training team is a continuously evolving environment built upon the understanding that good quality training is something people always remember, as well of course as a great quality trainer.
Our regional trainers are often the first substantial contact individuals have with our business and thus you will help shape our organisation and ensure the safe, structured delivery of the quality standards that we operate to.
The main purpose of the role of Regional Trainer at Nationwide Care Services is: -
· The Regional Trainer will identify and monitor training needs in the organisation
· Be involved in reviewing, adapting, designing, planning, and implement training programs in line with regulatory standards and at the request of the training manager in line with the needs of the business.
· Ensure that all training being delivered is standardised in terms of content
· Carry out the delivery of Induction training for new care & support workers in your regional area
· Map out, book and deliver refresher training for existing care & support workers within your regional area
· Assess current training delivery through a structured approach to monitoring and measuring learner development.
· Work in a way which promotes and ensures only the highest professional standards throughout the business underpinned by the structured professional and personal development of our staffing.
· As a Regional Trainer you set the standards by which our staff operate and it is imperative that these standards are of the highest merit at all times.
Work with the Senior Management team to be able to demonstrate compliance across all services with effective, accurate and trusted reporting against agreed KPI’s and backed by a robust strategy towards training development and delivery.
· To work with the Training Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and Senior Management team to satisfy CQC training requirements during an inspection, in particular:
· Ensure through assessment of learning that staff have the right qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience to do their job.
· Work with the Training Manager as required to review how we identify the learning needs of staff and whether they have the appropriate training to meet their learning needs to cover the scope of their work.
· Follow guidance from the Training Manager in working to ensure that there is clarity of what constitutes mandatory training and service specific training requirements with identified developmental pathways for all managers and staff by role and by service.
· Ensure all measurement data is maintained and available at short notice for review/ inspection i.e. attendance, cancellations, compliance, measure effectiveness and efficiency of training functions are in place and being utilised, monitored within your regional area.
· Work in a way which promotes our vision of a full suite of blended learning options available, i.e. e-learning, classroom based, train the trainer.
* Notify the Training Manager of any new training equipment requirement’s, materials or replacement items as required.
* Ensure that you build viable professional focussed relationships with your Regional branches and that the branch work with you to support where difficulty is encountered in getting staff to attend training.
* You will need the ability to think “out of the box” in terms of finding solutions to unique situations.
* You will be required to present ideas and innovative thinking around new training methods and ideas.
* Work to maximise a supportive approach in regards the development of current employees, or as part of talent and succession planning initiatives
* Support the development of a wider approach to new service training strategies such as complex care or specialised elements of care delivery.
* You may occasionally be required to attend alternate locations to cover where another trainer has failed to attend
