Description

As a 1st / 2nd line helpdesk Engineer, you will be required to troubleshoot and resolve incidents in a timely manner and to the highest quality, both at head office and showrooms via telephone and remote desktop. Whilst a mixture of office and home working, you will be the first point of contact for IT support issues. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting Desktops, Phones and Printers.
Half day Saturday (AM) support is required on a shift pattern approximately 1 in 3, whereby TOIL will be accrued. This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract
The role will include responding to issues via the phone, email, call-logging system, and monitoring system, logging and debriefing incidents, performing root cause analysis. You will take ownership of incidents and manage them in a logical and methodical manner and be able to find effective solutions whilst maintaining an impeccable customer service record. Carrying out daily checks, reporting and resolving issues, assembling, provisioning, and repairing hardware, such as desktops and laptops, installing, desktops, phones, printers, and other IT equipment.
The sucessful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, being able to be credible, authentic, engaging, and able to communicate with people of all levels. You will be confident and comfortable at problem solving and finding viable solutions through researching evidence based best practice and offering constructive challenge to existing processes and practices. Be an advocate for working collaboratively and collectively in pursuit of joint goals across multiple functions, you will have an appetitive to contribute towards a continual cycle of change. In order to drive efficiently and quality, you will challenge what we do, why we do it and present ideas on how improvement can be made. You will be working as part of a dynamic team to ensure high standards of support and user satisfaction across our head office, showrooms and depots nationwide
