Supplier Account Executive I Cardiff
We have an excellent career opportunity for a Supplier Account Manager at Mercateo UK. Part of Unite, a pan-European company covering 15 territories, the business delivers Europe’s leading e-procurement platform and purchasing solution for the private and public sector.
To support business growth and develop the product ranges on our marketplace platform, you will be actively sourcing contacts and prospecting for new suppliers to satisfy our customer’s purchasing needs. You will be pitching our proposition and the benefits in establishing a presence on our marketplace and selling to a wide customer-base via our platform.
*Your role*
* Inspire suppliers: Work with the wider business in Europe to supervise the onboarding of new suppliers and integration of their product catalogues on to our platform.
* Track commercial success: Ensure that acquisition targets to increase the number of suppliers and products are met
* Building a network: Build relationships with the suppliers in your category portfolio and act as the main point of contact for the UK’s supply management function.
* Analyze business potential: Work strategically with the senior supply management team to identify new opportunities that can help expand and grow the supplier network
* Proof negotiating skills: Negotiate and agree individual supplier terms and conditions and take the onboarding through the contractual phase.
* Shape processes: Implement and optimize complex, cross-functional processes
*Your qualifications*
* Sales background: Experience in Account management and/or sales. You would need to show demonstrable experience in identifying qualifying leads and meeting acquisition targets.
* Networking skills: You prove excellent communication and networking skills
* Teamspirit: A creative and lateral thinker who excels at working collaboratively with colleagues
* Digital affinity: Clear understanding of MS Office suite, CRM tools, databases and backend management systems
* Growth Mindset: Ability to work independently and proactively within a fast-paced environment and as part of a high-performing team
