*What is special about this opportunity?*
Our team delivers support to vulnerable individuals and help them to develop the key skills needed to prevent homelessness, improve financial capability, promote re-settlement into the community and achieve positive progression.
We have a fantastic 22 bed project supporting a range of clients with varying needs, such as, mental health issues, substance misuse issues and learning difficulties. We take a person-centred approach and enable individuals to achieve their goals and empower them to lead independent lives.
As a Scheme Support Officer, you will be expected to assist the Project Workers in delivering a tenancy related support service to our clients. You will play a vital part in enabling people to achieve their goals and empower them to lead independent lives which is very rewarding.
We have a 30 hour part time, 6 month parental cover position available until March 2023.
Your hours will be allocated on a rota basis and consist of days, afternoons and weekends.
The exact salary for this role is £15,678 per annum
This role requires an enhanced DBS which we will pay for.
We offer a holiday entitlement of 26 days pro rata, plus bank holidays, sick pay, and excellent pension options.
*Daily Duties include: *
* Assisting the Project Worker in the day to day running of the service, in the absence of the manager.
* Offering support and advice for clients within the supported housing service.
* To develop and run workshops
* Being the first point of contact for all telephone calls and visitors to the service and to deal effectively with queries.
* Dealing with emergencies appropriately and complete all necessary paperwork
* Developing your networking skills by working in partnership with external agencies
