The Vacancy
We have a great opportunity for you to join our finance team in London as we continue to expand our operation. The role of Accounts Assistant is integral to our team and plays a key role in the FR&C team. The ideal candidate will have a professional and can-do attitude, be self-motivated, flexible and be able to prioritise and multi-task. They will have excellent organisational abilities to be able to balance different tasks ensuring deadlines are met whilst maintaining highest levels of accuracy.
The key responsibilities for the role:
Daily bank postings and reconciliations for all entities within the Hollis group.
Setting up of payments on online banking system
Processing of staff expenses including query management
Assist with month end activities including Fixed Assets, Prepayments.
Assist with the preparation of VAT returns as appropriate for the UK and overseas Hollis entities including providing documentation over to respective foreign tax advisors.
Assist with the preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations for review by the Management Accountant & Financial Accountant.
Business Partnering with Credit Control/Purchase Ledger to assist Debtor & Creditor reconciliations
Assist the Finance team with the year end audit process for all group entities
Update accounting spreadsheets and schedules to support reconciliations
Experience, Skills & qualifications required:
Previous work experience in a similar role
Excellent IT skills, with the ability to adapt to bespoke systems easily
Good level of competence on Excel, including knowledge of lookups and pivot tables, would be an advantage.
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Good team working skills
The ability to work to varying deadlines
Seeking a career in Finance/Studying towards a degree preferable
