If this aligns with your values and you want to join a leader in the banking industry, we are hiring for an Investments Systems Support Specialist that will be responsible for overall system development, maintenance, and ongoing support of the custom databases and downloads, used internally by the Investment Operations Department.

MAJOR DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develops, conducts maintenance, supports, and initiates a variety of system data downloads and extracts from Bank of New York, the Federal Reserve, the InTrader operating system, and supplemental portfolio analytic systems.
  • Supports, conducts maintenance, develops, and continues to enhance all departmental processes utilizing current databases specific to the investment operations functions.
  • Creates all custom reports and extracts.
  • Continually works with departmental supervisors to develop new tools for improving processes and procedures to ensure effective and accurate data and information.
  • Acts as a local resource for departmental questions and training on PC applications, such as Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Assists in ensuring the continuity of service during heavy volume periods or short staffing situations.
  • Gathers data for the department and produces weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activity, volume, and status reports.
  • Accountable for daily and monthly reconcilements of GLs, holdings and sales credits.
  • Designs, develops, and implements departmental presentations.
  • Serves as backup for departmental management roles.

REQUIREMENTS/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • Individual should be detail oriented, analytical, and possess excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and across all levels
  • Highly developed PC skills, with particular emphasis on Windows/Microsoft Office and network environments
  • Individual should possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work within and foster a team environment

Preferred

  • 3-5 years of safekeeping experience
  • 2-4 years of writing Access databases, Excel worksheets/macros, and/or report writer tools experience
  • 2-4 years of Sungard InTrader/Portfolio Accounting Systems experience
  • Software: Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access)
