Recruiting Coordinator

Summary:
Provide effective recruiting strategies for positions. Partner with management to identify staffing needs to determine the most effective means to fill open positions. Responsible for coordinating recruiting processes and activities, from the initial job posting to scheduling new hires for onboarding at various Hillman Distribution Centers. Work closely with all members of the HR team and Operations on various projects and initiatives.

Recruiting Coordinator Key Result Areas (KRAs):
Process Administration
• Work with line managers to develop or update position descriptions for approved job openings.
• Record and maintain established metrics relating to recruiting processes.
• Follow developed recruiting process and plan for each recruiting project in conjunction with hiring manager.
• Act as knowledge center support for the company-wide use of the HRIS recruiting/onboarding system.
• Engage with and source job candidates through online social networking tools and technology, while representing and promoting the Hillman brand, to proactively fill the talent pipeline.
Sourcing and Staffing
• Coordinate and post approved job openings with appropriate sources.
• Review applications/resumes and conduct phone screenings with candidates.
• Schedule qualified candidates with hiring managers for onsite interview and tour.
• Conduct appropriate reference checks and arrange background screening.
• Develop and initiate approved job offers to select candidates.
• Maintain integrity and confidentiality of department and employee personnel information.
Onboarding
• Administer all new hire orientations and paperwork.
• Ensure all resources are available for new employees.
• Develop and orchestrate orientation plan for new hires.
• Conduct post hire follow-up at defined intervals to ensure new hires are effectively integrated.
HR Initiatives
• Provide proactive recruiting support and execution in all business initiatives.
• Research and provide input of recruiting products and processes to suggest better ways HR tasks can be more efficient and improve HR established practices.
• Play an active role in assisting with all employee activities and support initiates to encourage an engaged workforce.
Education:
Associates degree or the equivalent in education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Recruiting Coordinator Qualifications:
• Two years of recruiting experience.
• General knowledge of related employment laws.
• Intermediate skills relating to Word, Excel, and Windows applications.
• Knowledge of HRIS software, preferably Ceridian Dayforce.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a changing work environment.
• Self-directed, ability to take ownership of responsibilities and see tasks through to completion.
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with candidates and managers and deal tactfully with the public.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail; Able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong writing skills – able to generate clear, accurate correspondence.
• Able to maintain confidential information.
