Summary

The Export Compliance Manager is an integral part of the U.S. Export Compliance Department, which is responsible for reducing risk by ensuring compliance with all export control and clearance laws, including the Foreign Trade Regulations, Export Administration Regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations and other export regulatory regulations. This includes program and policy development, and the enforcement and sustainability of the export compliance program.

Primary Duties
• Supports the development, implementation and enforcement of corporate export compliance programs
• Provides guidance on compliance with governmental regulations, customer specifications, and internal policies
• Establishes, updates and monitors operational procedures written to ensure compliance with all export control and clearance requirements.
• Supports members of the Compliance department and Operations
• Prepares reports such as weekly/monthly/quarterly data reporting
• Supports and provides export compliance trainings to the network
• Conducts audits on the U.S. export departments to ensure compliance
• Provides input to the audit program, including scope, frequency, and sampling methodology
• Identifies areas of non-compliance and works with operations and management to meet these challenges and provide solutions
• Participates in the Corrective Action process relevant to compliance issues
• Identifies and reports compliance issues to management
• Engages with current, new and expanded business to ensure compliance with export requirements
• Travels to GEODIS sites as required and routinely interacts with personnel to monitor all established export compliance activities in place to ensure that they are effective, and continue to produce desired results

Experience
• Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

• Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to communicate effectively and develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret regulations, determine impact to operations and identify solutions for complying
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

• Ability to travel within the United States

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
