About Mortgage Choice

In July 2021, Mortgage Choice was acquired by REA Group. For almost 30 years, Mortgage Choice has been helping Australians purchase property via our national network of franchises. With the REA Group acquisition, we are in the process of integrating the Smartline mortgage broking business into Mortgage Choice, delivering an unparalleled footprint of mortgage brokers around the country. This is a time of change and evolution for the business – an exciting time to join the team and make your mark.

What we’re doing…

We’re looking to expand the events team to support all the exciting things we’re working on this year and beyond. We’re on the hunt for an experienced event manager who enjoys running small to large scale events, for our broker network and internal teams. This role would suit someone who is an organisational extraordinaire, thrives working with people day in and day out and has a high attention to detail. You’ll work alongside passionate and driven individuals who enjoy creating amazing experiences.  While no two days are ever the same, you’ll be doing:

Supporting the Senior Events Manager and Communications team in running broker events, as well as internal/staff events (e.g. webinars and Town Halls)

Running some events end to end autonomously

Managing contract approvals with our Legal team and ensuring we meet our commitments and make payments on time

Keeping abreast of industry developments and competitor activity

Delivering post-event reporting and evaluation, including ROI assessment and continuous improvement recommendations for future activity

Ensuring all projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and on budget

Managing administrative tasks for yourself and the Senior Events Manager, if required

Who we’re looking for…

Proven event management experience 5+ years

High attention to detail – you love working at a fast pace and able to adapt and thrive in an evolving environment

Proven experience thriving and succeeding in an evolving and ambiguous environment

A natural born problem solver – thinks on their feet critically

A great communicator, able to liaise with stakeholders form all functions, at all levels

Advanced skills in MS Office (Powerpoint, Word & Excel)

Experience with event management software (Events Air)

Superb organisational skills

Can think critically

Demonstrated knowledge of audio/visual technologies
