Description and Requirements

Key Objectives of Position:

The Retail AccountManager will be responsible for developing retail consumer product key accounts to drive profitable market share and revenue goals. Building Lenovo brand awareness, consumer consideration and deliver strategic growth.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

· Drive the business to achieve revenue, volume, profit and market share targets

· Responsible for achieving retail sales revenue, GM and market share quota from Lenovo retail business

· Build profitable growth plan to maximise market share and effectively manage cost structure

· Business development planning with key retailers to create profitable growth opportunities

· Identify and capitalize market opportunities for profitable growth

· Responsible for inventory management, supply chain efficiency and WOI targets

· Responsible for retail staff education and awareness of Lenovo brand/products

· Responsible for account product assortment planning measured on share of shelf and share of advert voice

· Manage the longer-term development of the retailer channel program, growing BP satisfaction and loyalty in Lenovo to achieve and increase in their share of business.

· Manage business relationship with key retailers – at executive and management level

· Develop and execute strategic account plans including retail programs with retailers including co-marketing, promotional activity, sales rep training education and in store brand presence

· Manage retail account product forecasting and advertising promotional plans to drive sell in sell out

· Coordinate quarterly business partner reviews

· Articulate Lenovo’s “value proposition” to the retailers

· Minimum 5 years’ sales experience with strong selling skills in the consumer IT industry

· Minimum 10 years’ experience in the consumer IT industry

· Relationship management. Strong understanding of consumer PC market and retail channel

· Excellent retail/channel management skills and a strong desire to exceed sales targets.

· Financial business management ability and strong business acumen

· Familiarity with retail organisations objectives and how to maximise sales results

· Anticipates, creates and defines innovative and visionary concepts in strategic environment.

· Excellent communication skills – presentation, negotiation, closing, follow through.

· Self-motivated team player with a strong drive for success

· The ability to meet aggressive targets and deadlines

· Powerpoint, Excel, Salesforce tactical skills

Team Involvement:

· High level of interaction across the team and across business unit collaboration

· Key Performance Indicators / Metrics:

· Revenue, GM and Market Share Volume in Retail

· Business KPI’s

· Adhering to Lenovo Way cultural behaviors

Promotion or Career Development Opportunities:

· Category Management in other regions or market segments

Candidate Pre-Requisites

Previous Experience:

· Minimum 5yrs Account Executive in retail. Able to display a successful sales track record

· Minimum 10 years’ experience in IT industry retail

· Financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable to manage high complexity business planning and reporting

· Strong communication skills at senior management internally and externally

· Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices


· Bachelor’s degree in business or associated discipline preferred
