UX Researcher(Mixed Method)Location: Remote (Canada)Client Industry: GamingAbout the Job:As a UX Researcher, youll work to shape experiences for players, recruiting, and employees by leading research for experience design. You will work closely with a research manager and work closely with design leads, product managers, engineers, and other partners throughout the production cycle aligned on business goals, customer needs and trade-offs.In this role you will: Connect user research with products related to player, recruiting, employee, and game creation related products acting as an amplifier for actionable insights by working across the company (Experience Design, Engineering, Product Management and Marketing Insights) in a combination of qualitative and quantitative learnings. Be an expert at matching research learnings and its delivery mechanisms with customer needs and business goals of the products. Be a champion for user experience, product consistency, and design excellence. Participate in a team culture of building strong strategic partnerships. Work closely with designers, creating user scenarios, concept sketches, experience storyboards, high fidelity designs, and rapid prototypes. Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, researchers, marketers, and external partners to establish cohesive language and a unified voice across products and platforms. Take ownership for meeting customer needs and business goals. Work closely with research leads and contribute to strategic initiatives that improve design team efficiency. Facilitate and/or participate in meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives, and establish clear next steps. Participate in sharing constructive feedback in design reviews based on your own insight.Essential Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and collaboration skills. Outstanding communication, storytelling, and presentation skills. Experience in leading user research for digital products and of cross functional collaboration Emerging expert in user experience research principles and practices with a keen ability of knowing how to use data to provide informed user insights. Ability to translate user research findings into design recommendations and concept adaptations. Problem solver who can work behind the scenes to identify potential roadblocks and escalate roadblocks when needed Comfortable navigating through ambiguity while still being a key driver for business goals and customer needs. Familiarity with a variety of product design software, spreadsheets and customer research tools. Able to work efficiently with remote team members. Able to divide time between initiatives.Preferred Qualifications: Deliver research that directly supports consumer marketing, social marketing and strategy, and audience illumination. Collaborate with research partners and conduct hands-on, primary research. Experience in shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects. Skill at framing problems and scoping research approaches Emerging expert in questionnaire design, survey programming and data analysis, particularly translating complex business questions into efficient and focused inquiries. Experience analyzing end-to-end product development from initial product strategy to post-launch iteration.
