Department: Sales Department

Location: Burton Upon Trent

Reporting Line: Managing Director

Core Hours:

(incl. 30min lunch)

08.30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday

Holiday Entitlement:

20 days per annum (pro-rata) plus public holidays

Overall Job Purpose (Role Summary)

Our client Hi-line Industries are offering an excellent opportunity for a highly enthusiastic and motivated person to join a local organisation which specialises in the innovative design, manufacture, supply and installation of energy efficient Compressed Air Purification Equipment.

As an Internal Sales Co-ordinator you will work as part of a team, delivering a first-class customer service ensuring the customer’s needs are always met.

You will develop strong relationships with new and existing Distributors and Key Accounts in the Compressed Air Industry, through effective liaison and the provision of a variety of customer service duties, related to the sale of Compressed Air Purification products.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and process customer enquiries via telephone and email.

  • Input new orders into the order processing system in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Provide quotations, product advice and availability.

  • Follow up on quotations that have not been converted to a confirmed sale.

  • Update company CRM software; maintain accurate and effective customer records.

  • Analyse sales order volumes and maintain accurate stock levels for all products in your remit, within agreed budgets.

  • Liaising with suppliers to ensures all future sales order volumes are satisfied.

  • Negotiate prices with suppliers in order to maximise gross margin against targets set by the company.

  • Contacting suppliers to resolve any pricing, warranty and technical issues.

  • Research competitors and similar products, keeping abreast of competitor’s products and new launches.

  • Assist in the creation of sales support materials for new and existing products.

  • Play an active role in new and existing product development.

  • Obtain and communicate market information as required and requested by management.

  • Attend and contribute to Monthly Management review meetings.

  • Any other sales related administration as required.

Person Specification

  • Educated to higher education/degree level

  • Commercial awareness

  • Positive and professional telephone manner

  • Ability to demonstrate good attention to detail and order inputting

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong persuasive ability and tenacity

  • Has the skills to prioritise and manage multiple and sometimes conflicting demands and stakeholders

  • Ability to work autonomously, a proven self-motivator.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as a team player

  • Excellent IT Skills (must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software & Sage 50 Accounts / Xero)

  • High level of organisational skills and the ability to plan own workload working to tight deadlines

  • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude

  • The 'team fit’ is a key criteria.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a customer service environment, ideally within a compressed air related discipline.

  • A strong history of Customer Service experience, ideally on the supply of compressed air products to distributors, key accounts and OEM’s.

  • Experience of cross-referencing part numbers.

  • An ethic of operating within structured Accounting, CRM and internal management systems.

Salary: An excellent remuneration rate will be paid to the right individual, above the local average.

Core Hours: 40 hours per week, 8.30am - 5.00pm, Monday - Friday
