REED Sheffield are actively recruiting for temporary support workers throughout Sheffield for a Local Authority. Based in various homes through out the city you will be playing a vital role in the lives of young people in the mainstream residential care system. The roles are ongoing and can be full or part time.
Previous experience of working with children & young people is essential (6 months minimum experience required) We are looking for outstanding residential support workers to work within the children's mainstream residential sector. The shifts are a mix of earlies, lates, and waking nights and the pay rates are from £9.90 p/h to £18.15 p/h depending on shift day and time (rising to £12.69 p/h - £23.27 p/h after 3 months in the role).
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Corporate parenting - ensuring the young people will have the independence skills they need
- Adhering to all policies and procedures in line with OFSTED requirements and policies
- Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for the young people
- Liaising with other staff members and agencies
- Accurate reporting and record keeping
