Peabody has an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Lead on a full time, permanent basis. In return you will receive a competitive salary of £32,800 per annum.

This role will be part office (Hugh Cubitt House) and part home based.

About the Enterprise Lead role:

Responsible for leading the Peabody Community Foundation’s (PCF) enterprise activity, programmes and approach to enterprise within the economic inclusion team, PCF and wider organisation.

Reporting to the Economic Inclusion Manager, the Enterprise Lead will work strategically and operationally developing and maintaining partnerships with relevant, influential, borough based and pan London organisations across the public, voluntary and private sectors to support the availability and accessibility of enterprise services and opportunities.

What you can expect to be doing as our Enterprise Lead:

  • Developing the PCF approach to enterprise support including wrap-around and tailored support available to businesses and providing a range of KPI’s and reports for this area.
  • Ability to effectively manage an enterprise budget that will include the procurement of external provision and strategic resource pooling with other anchor organisations.
  • Ensuring that community wealth building approaches are made available within the enterprise offer.
  • Building strong partnerships with key strategic partners and anchor organisations to pool support and opportunity.
  • Play a lead role in coordinating our enterprise approach to procurement opportunities via our supply-chain and developments.
  • Coordinate our enterprise approach to meanwhile, commercial and community space available to local businesses.
  • Lead on Enterprise facilitation and other/alternative business models and investment/funding activities and opportunities available via or on behalf of PCF.
  • Feed into the universal approach for economic inclusion across PCF.

What we're looking for in our Enterprise Lead:

  • Experienced in managing and procuring business support or development or a background in entrepreneurship with relatable relevant experience
  • Passionate and enthusiastic for creating opportunities for established and new businesses and an active commitment to equal opportunities, with the ability to work in culturally diverse communities and groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate well with both residents and professionals
  • Ability to effectively monitor and report on related income and expenditure as well as key performance indicators
  • IT literate with the understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office effectively and social media platforms
  • Great people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff and stakeholders including the production of case studies or social media posts
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience of partnership working and the issues facing start-ups and established businesses
  • Experience of working collaboratively and effectively with disadvantaged and culturally diverse communities
  • Project management skills and experience
