Start date: September 2022

Location: Waltham Forest (E10)

(Full time, Permanent, 8:30am-4pm Monday to Friday)

I am currently working with a primary school who are looking for a Speech and langauge therapist to support the Year 2 classroom.

Main duties:

  • Working within a variety of settings including our specialist clinic, mainstream, and special schools.
  • Collaborating with other professionals within the multidisciplinary team including speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, psychologists, social workers and paediatricians.
  • Administering a comprehensive selection of Assessments tools (both standardised and non-standardised assessment measures).
  • Providing individual treatment and familial support/ intervention.
  • Providing 1:1 and group therapy to children on the caseload.
  • Writing thorough clinical reports.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Experience, knowledge and a strong passion for working with children
  • Demonstrable knowledge in child development
  • Strong communication skills
  • Current HCPC registration and an enhanced DBS certificate
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Have an enhanced DBS and be able to provide x2 professional references.
