What to expect: The Bilingual Internal Auditor’s primary responsibility is to develop and execute an audit program which ensures that all CSRs performing certification activities are witnessed, including document reviews on their work. This includes planning, documenting and reporting audit findings.The intent of the witness audits and document review is to ensure that field activities conform to CWB requirements, that delivery of services is effective and to find opportunities to improve on the services provided to CWB clients. This includes: Certification Services Representative Audit Develop strategies to improve oversight of certification service delivery. Execute on strategy through development of guidelines, processes and office/in-field auditing. Communicate and clarify changes to certification/accreditation requirements to Services staff. Assess Services staff against accreditation and quality manual requirements. Plan and conduct auditing responsibilities effectively and efficiently. Document audit observations and results. Report the audit results both on an individual and organizational level, making recommendation for preventive and corrective action. Where appropriate, implements preventive actions. Provide input into the maintenance of management system documents (quality manual, forms and electronic tools). Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions taken as a result of the audit as needed. Retain and safeguard documents pertaining to the audit. Submit such documents as required. Ensure such documents remain confidential. Treat privileged information with discretion. Work with Regional Managers, Certification Services Representatives and Training Specialists to develop a training plan to address non-conformance and training gaps. Internal Auditing Develop and execute an audit program which ensures that all CSRs performing certification activities are witnessed, including document reviews on their work with the intent to ensure that field activities conform to CWB requirements, that delivery of service is effective and to find opportunities to improve on the services provided to CWB clients. Conduct witness audits of CWB personnel, primarily CSRs, as they perform their activities in the field at client locations and on job sites. Perform document reviews on Audit Reports and NCRs issued by CSRs. Supporting the day-to-day QA activities Processing of certification and registration requests. Administration and maintenance of certification exams. Safety Requirements Read and comprehend the CWB Group OH&S Management System. Comply with all aspects of the CWB Group OH&S Management System. Report all accidents to manager, using CWB Form 1018. Report all near misses / incidents to manager using CWB Form 1017. Report all hazards to manager using CWB Form 1017, which you feel are not addressed by the CWB Group OH&S Management System. Use Personal Protective Equipment as required. Maintain/replace personal protective equipment as required. Attend safety talks at departmental/operational meetings. Other Duties as Assigned In this position, you will report to the Registrar and Director, Quality Assurance and will be working remotely from your home office in Canada. CWB is adopting a remote-first working model, where employees will work from their home office, servicing the client within their specified areas either remotely or in person. What you bring to the table: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Bilingualism in French and English. 2- or 3-year Community College Welding Technician/Technologist Program. Minimum 5 years’ experience in CWB relevant industry sectors. Solid Industrial background (preferably in the metal fabrication field). Welding Inspection experience, Level 2 Welding Inspector would be. Experience in developing and conducting audits in both group environment and/or on a one-on-one basis. Knowledge of audit principles, practices and techniques. Experience in advanced welding technologies. Practical welding experience in relevant industry sectors. Training skills. Interviewing, note-taking and report writing skills. Management systems auditing. Welding inspection. Training experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with minimal amount of supervision. Travel up to 75% of the time, possession of vehicle and appropriate travel documents, (e.g. passport) required.
